Dj Bounty | Xcalibur | |
DJ Bounty, Originated from the tropical paradise of Jamaica from one
Amanda Brown and Ivor Beckford. Dwain who grew up in the district of Wakefield, Linstead
was born with a talent unlike any other in his neighborhood.
Each individual is born with 5 senses, and it is
said that when one hindered the others
become heightened. Fortunately for Dwain he
had all his senses and a bit more, an extra
keen ear. From a tender age Bounty found
himself with an irresistible attraction to music.
Gradually as he went on he was not too
concern with the surface area of a song like
the words, but as he listened more and more
he soon realize that he could connect with a
lot more that the average audience, his soul
was in tuned with the rhythm, the instruments
even the construction of a melody, the
foundation of any musical masterpiece.
With the progression of time Bounty got older
and his obsession grew stronger and
stronger, after mingling around with some of
the local upcoming entertainers around the
community, Bounty soon started a collection of
his own. Saving every penny and working any
odd job he could land, Bounty had the means
to begin a journey that would lead him along a
path he could begin to fathom.
With only two turn tables a mixer as his
primary tool and two speakers that could not
play any louder than a present day disk man.
Bounty spent countless hours going back and
forth developing a feel for records and an ear
for what the people liked and dislike. After
the title of a disc jockey.
From here Bounty would go on to play on a
variety of local sounds in his area. After
journeying to South Florida looking for other
avenues to express his musical talent, Bounty
audition for a spot on a local community radio
station in the area of the Palm Beaches, it is
here he would come into contact with another
force to be reckoned with, a natural raw talent
by the name of “X”caliber. Unsuspecting to
either of them the two would form a union that
would break all barriers.

“X” Calibur, Born and grown in beautiful twin
Island of Trinidad and Tobago to one Selma Coggins and Michael Mc David senior.
Xcalibur grew up with a childhood similar to
that of any other his age. He spent his days
going to school, doing chores and playing
sports, mostly soccer, but as darkness fell
across the land and everyone retired to their
homes to enjoy the company of friends and
such as the late great Robert Nestor Marley,
Marvin Gaye and Barry White, just to name a
few.
Xcalibur developed a love for music at a tender
age after being bombarded with music from
every culture, creed and race, everything
ranging from Country Western to the ever so
popular R&B. It is said that any emotion that a
person is expressing can be related to music,
after all music is a universal langue, and yes it
is through the very same musical art form of
reggae and Soca that Xcalibur would find his
acceptance and his voice of expression.
After being captivated by the words of various
artists such as Bob Marley “Redemption song”,
Sizzla’s “Black woman and child”, Jah Cure
“Sunny day” and many others Xcalibur found a
spiritual link in Reggae music like no other, but
due to circumstance outside his realm of
control he had no outlet to express his new
found joy.
With the progression of time, life for Xcalibur
simply went around in a circle, making a
spontaneous decision to move to South Florida
to expand his horizons he was offered an
opportunity to take a hand on approach to his
musical career. Accruing a small slot on an
upcoming underground station the name
Xcalibur started to circulate throughout the
surrounding area of West Palm Beach, but
unsuspecting to the youngster the journey
would not stop there, for it is at that very
station Xcalibur would encounter his future
partner and cofounder of Avalanche Supreme.
The two youngsters Xcalibur and Dj Bounty
emerging from the Island of Jamaica formed a
bond through mutual respect and understand
of each others talent and individual back
ground would come together unifying Two
Islands and forming the birth of Avalanche
Supreme.
